It’s exciting to see that the amount of pending home sales is on the rise across the nation and here in Chicago’s North Shore as well! According to a recent report from the National Association of Realtors, the percentage of increase from February of this year to March was at 8.3%. The great news is that the homes with a pending status are also up significantly from a year ago with an increase of 21.1%. Chief US economist, Stephen Gallagher at Societe Generale SA in New York notes that, “Homes sales are rising at a pretty healthy clip. There’s a growing confidence that the job market has bottomed out and is crawling up again.”All this to say, now is an ideal to jump into Chicago's North Shore Real Estate market! We are seeing the country get back on its feet and the housing market gain steady momentum. Interest rates are still relatively low and prices of homes remain very reasonable.
